These Official Rules govern participation in THE GAME after screening and acceptance. The separate Screening Terms govern the $5 screening process, screening recordings and screening-related privacy matters. Where the two documents overlap, these Official Rules govern participation in THE GAME itself.
This is a skill-based competition. Prizes are earned, not drawn. Please read these points carefully — they describe how the money, the credit and the rewards actually work.
The Operator and approved Sponsors may issue genuine complimentary entries at $0.00.
Every Player accepted through a paid entry or a genuine complimentary entry receives $300 of promotional Game Credit for use only inside THE GAME.
Game Credit is not cash, not a deposit, not a wager, not a bank balance, not a gift card and not money you own. It is an internal promotional game allowance. See Section 9.
Paying an entry fee, receiving a complimentary entry, receiving Game Credit or joining a Team does not guarantee advancement, a Prize or any particular outcome.
No random draw, lottery or chance-based selection is used to determine advancement, elimination, tie-breaks or Prize entitlement. See Section 3.
“Accepted Player” means an eligible applicant whom the Operator has formally accepted into THE GAME and who has accepted the current version of these Official Rules.
“Base Entry Price” means $100.00 CAD for a standard paid entry, treated for tax as set out in Section 19.
“Captain” means an Accepted Player assigned or approved by the Operator to organize a Team and participate in the Paid Captain Program under Section 11.
“Complimentary Entry” means a genuine $0.00 entry issued directly by the Operator or an authorized Sponsor under Section 8. It is not purchased and may carry a unique code, expiry or eligibility condition disclosed when it is issued.
“Game Credit” means a promotional internal accounting allowance with a starting amount of $300.00 for an eligible Accepted Player, usable only for Operator-approved in-game purposes and subject to Section 9.
“Milestone” means a stated checkpoint within a Round that may include a task, deadline, verification requirement and/or separately disclosed payment required to continue, as set out in the Round Schedule or the applicable Round Instructions.
“Invite Code” means a unique URL, code, token or other identifier issued by the Operator for an authorized invitation or discount program, including the Paid Captain Program under Section 11 and the Invite Code Discount under Section 12.
“Official Rules” means this document, including all Schedules and incorporated Round Instructions.
“Operator” means Sweetspot Marketing Group Ltd.
“Player” means an Accepted Player actively participating in THE GAME.
“Official Game Channels” means the Operator-controlled systems used to deliver official Player instructions, notices, payment links, records or submissions, which may include the Game timer screen, email, text message, payment receipt, website or another system expressly designated by the Operator.
“Prize” means a prize, benefit or award identified in the Prize Schedule.
“Qualified Join” means for the purposes of the Paid Captain Program under Section 11, an invited person who validly registers through the designated Captain Invite Code, satisfies eligibility and screening requirements, accepts these Official Rules, pays the applicable discounted Base Entry Price in cleared funds, completes Activation, and has not had the applicable payment cancelled, refunded, reversed or charged back before the applicable Qualification Deadline.
“Round” means a sequential stage of THE GAME governed by these Official Rules and the applicable written Round Instructions made available through the Official Game Channels.
“Sponsor” means a business or organization authorized by the Operator to sponsor THE GAME, provide Prizes, distribute approved Complimentary Entries or participate in approved Game activities.
“Team” means a group of two to six Players recognized by the Operator for Game purposes. A Player may also participate as a Solo Player where permitted by the applicable Round Instructions.
“Activation” means the point at which an Accepted Player has accepted these Official Rules, satisfied the applicable Base Entry Price or valid Complimentary Entry requirement, completed any required entry verification, and is authorized by the Operator to begin participating in THE GAME.
“Business Day” means a Monday through Friday that is not a statutory holiday in Alberta.
“Captain Invite Code” means an Invite Code issued by the Operator under the Paid Captain Program in Section 11.
“Eligibility Area” means the geographic eligibility area stated in Section 4.3.
“Final Audit” means the Operator’s post-completion review of the records reasonably necessary to determine a Player’s eligibility for the Completion Reward, including Round completion, deadlines, verification status, Game Credit activity, withdrawal, elimination and disqualification status.
“Game Account” means the Operator-maintained Player record or account associated with an Accepted Player, including the records used to track participation, Game Credit, submissions, verification and other Game administration. A Game Account does not necessarily require a separate Player-facing login or portal.
“Good Standing” means that a Player has not withdrawn, been suspended or disqualified and has complied with all material payment, verification and participation requirements then applicable to that Player.
“Immediate Family” means a spouse or adult interdependent partner, parent, child, sibling, or a person residing in the same household as the person whose relationship is being disclosed.
“Invite Link” means an Operator-authorized link containing or applying an Invite Code for an invitation or discount program.
“Privacy Notice” means the Operator’s privacy notice applicable to THE GAME and presented or made available to the Player, with the applicable version retained in the Operator’s records.
“Prize Schedule” means the separate written prize schedule issued by the Operator through an Official Game Channel before Activation and incorporated into these Official Rules.
“Prize Supplier” means a person or organization that provides or is responsible for supplying a Prize identified in the Prize Schedule.
“Qualification Deadline” means, unless an earlier date and time is disclosed with the applicable Captain Invite Code or offer, the moment immediately before the Captain’s Team begins Round One. Any earlier Qualification Deadline must be disclosed when the applicable Captain Invite Code or offer is issued and will not be applied retroactively.
“Qualifying Period” means the period beginning when Game Credit is first issued to a Player upon Activation and ending when that Player successfully reaches the Season One Completion Point.
“Round Instructions” means the written instructions issued by the Operator through an Official Game Channel for a particular Round or Milestone, including the applicable task, deadline, permitted assistance, submission requirements, verification requirements and disclosed advancement criteria.
“Round Schedule” means the separate written Season One schedule issued by the Operator through an Official Game Channel before Activation and incorporated into these Official Rules.
“Screening Terms” means the separate terms presented to an applicant for THE GAME screening process, including the $5 screening service and screening-related recording/privacy provisions, with the version accepted by the applicant retained in the Operator’s records.
“Season One” means the first season of THE GAME governed by these Official Rules, beginning on the official Season One start date and ending when the Operator has completed the final Round and associated administration described in the Round Schedule.
“Season One Completion Point” means the objective completion point identified in the Round Schedule that a Player must successfully reach, together with all other Section 10 requirements, to qualify for the Completion Reward.
“Solo Player” means a Player participating independently rather than as a member of a Team where solo participation is permitted.
“Team Player” means a Player participating as a member of a Team recognized by the Operator.
2.1 You agree to these Official Rules when you affirmatively accept them electronically after being accepted for participation and before beginning THE GAME.
2.2 The Operator records the version accepted, the acceptance timestamp, the Player identity and account, and other evidence reasonably required to prove acceptance.
2.3 The separate Screening Terms govern the screening service, the $5 screening fee, screening recordings and screening privacy matters. These Official Rules govern Game entry, Game Credit, Team programs, Rounds, advancement, Prizes and the Completion Reward.
2.4 If a written Round Instruction conflicts with these Official Rules, these Official Rules govern, unless these Official Rules expressly permit the Round Instruction to control that issue.
2.5 No Sponsor, Captain, staff member, volunteer, influencer or other person may alter these Official Rules by oral promise, social media message or informal communication.
3.1 THE GAME is a multi-round, real-world competition in which Players complete stated tasks and challenges within stated rules, deadlines and verification requirements.
3.2 Advancement and winner determination depend on skill, objective completion criteria, performance and other disclosed non-random criteria. The criteria used in each Round are stated in the Round Schedule and the applicable Round Instructions.
3.3 No Prize is guaranteed merely because a Player paid an entry amount, received a Complimentary Entry, received Game Credit, joined a Team or completed screening.
3.4 The Operator does not use a random draw, lottery, wheel, dice, random-number generator or other chance mechanism to determine advancement, elimination, tie-breaking or Prize entitlement.
3.5 Where two or more Players or Teams are tied on criteria affecting advancement or a Prize, the Operator uses an additional skill-based tie-break procedure disclosed to the affected Players before it begins.
4.1 A Player must be at least eighteen (18) years of age, legally capable of contracting, and ordinarily resident within the Eligibility Area stated in Section 4.3.
4.2 A Player must complete the Operator’s required screening and identity-verification process, provide accurate information and comply with these Official Rules.
4.3 The Eligibility Area for Season One is the municipal boundaries of the City of Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada.
4.4 Owners, directors, officers, employees and contractors of the Operator, Sponsors and Prize Suppliers, and their Immediate Family or household members, must disclose the relationship at screening. The Operator may impose eligibility, recusal or Prize restrictions reasonably necessary to protect competitive fairness. At minimum, a Player may not select or receive a Prize supplied by a Sponsor or Prize Supplier with which that Player has a relationship described in this clause. Section 17 applies.
4.5 One Player account and one active entry per person, unless a specific written rule expressly permits otherwise. Duplicate identities, fabricated accounts, impersonation or payment manipulation may result in cancellation or disqualification.
5.1 Screening is a separate prerequisite governed by the Screening Terms. Screening does not itself constitute Game entry and does not guarantee acceptance.
5.2 A person who receives an entry code, Invite Code or invitation does not become a Player until the Operator confirms eligibility, completes the required screening steps, formally accepts the applicant into THE GAME, the applicant accepts these Official Rules, and any applicable Base Entry Price has been paid through the Operator-approved checkout.
6.1 The available entry routes are: (a) Standard Paid Entry at the Base Entry Price; (b) Complimentary Entry issued by the Operator or an authorized Sponsor; (c) Paid-Captain Invite Entry under Section 11; and (d) Discounted Invite Entry under Section 12.
6.2 All entry routes result in the same core Player status after acceptance and activation, except for the Base Entry Price paid, any Team-program terms expressly stated in these Official Rules, and any Prize-eligibility restriction conspicuously disclosed in advance.
6.3 Complimentary Entries and discounts do not increase a Player’s chance of winning and do not reduce the skill required to advance.
7.1 The Base Entry Price is $100.00 CAD per Accepted Player.
7.2 The payment purchases the right to participate in THE GAME subject to these Official Rules. It is not a wager, a bet, a deposit toward a Prize, the purchase of a chance, an investment, or a promise that the Player will receive more money than the Player paid.
7.3 Payment does not guarantee successful completion, advancement, Prize entitlement or the Completion Reward.
11.1 Invite Code Discount.
An eligible applicant who receives and validly uses an authorized Invite Link or Invite Code may receive a $25.00 CAD discount from the standard $100.00 CAD Base Entry Price, resulting in a Base Entry Price of $75.00 CAD. The discount applies only to the Base Entry Price and does not waive separately disclosed Milestone payments or other Game costs that apply to that Player.
11.2 Individual Eligibility.
The $25.00 discount applies independently to each eligible applicant who validly uses an authorized Invite Link or Invite Code. The discount does not depend on any other person registering, paying or participating in THE GAME.
11.3 Valid Use of Invite Codes.
Invite Links and Invite Codes may only be used as authorized by the Operator. Self-referrals, duplicate identities, fabricated accounts, code resale, fraudulent transactions, circular payments or other attempts to improperly obtain a discount are prohibited.
11.4 Invalid or Reversed Transactions.
An entry associated with a payment that is cancelled, refunded, charged back, fraudulent or otherwise determined to be invalid may lose any discount or benefit associated with the Invite Link or Invite Code, subject to applicable law.
11.5 Game Credit and Player Benefits.
An Accepted Player who validly enters THE GAME at the discounted $75.00 CAD Base Entry Price receives the same standard $300.00 Game Credit applicable to that entry route and may qualify for the Completion Reward and other benefits in accordance with these Official Rules.
11.6 No Cash Value.
An Invite Code discount has no independent cash value, cannot be redeemed for cash and cannot be transferred, sold or exchanged unless expressly authorized by the Operator.
12.1 Captain status is an administrative Game role only. A Captain is not an employee, agent, franchisee, salesperson or legal representative of the Operator and has no authority to bind the Operator.
12.2 Captains must not collect entry payments on behalf of the Operator. Players must pay only through the Operator’s approved checkout.
12.3 Captains must not promise acceptance, guaranteed earnings, guaranteed Completion Rewards, guaranteed Prizes or special treatment.
12.4 The Operator may replace or remove a Captain for misconduct, inactivity, conflict of interest or breach of these Official Rules.
12.5 Invite Codes have no cash value and create no ownership in a Team, a Player account, a sponsorship or a Prize.
12.6 Player participation status is final once selected or confirmed. A Player may choose to participate as a Solo Player, Team Player, Captain, or as a Player requesting random assignment to a Team. Once the Player submits or confirms that choice and it is recorded by the Operator, the Player may not voluntarily switch to a different participation status during THE GAME. This does not prevent the Operator from making an administrative change required to enforce these Official Rules, including a Captain change under clause 13.4, or from correcting a documented Operator or system error.
12.7 Any random assignment of a Player to a Team is an administrative team-formation process only. Random assignment is not used to determine advancement, elimination, tie-breaking or Prize entitlement. After assignment, the Player and Team remain subject to the same disclosed skill-based criteria as other participants in the applicable Round.
13.1 THE GAME consists of multiple sequential Rounds. The number of Rounds, start and end dates, objectives, required submissions, advancement criteria, scoring criteria, disqualification triggers and any Team-versus-individual mechanics are set out in the Round Schedule and the written Round Instructions.
13.2 The Operator makes material Round requirements available before a Player is required to perform them and does not conceal a rule that materially affects advancement or the chance of winning.
13.3 Players are responsible for reviewing the Official Game Channels and official notices designated by the Operator. Informal statements by other Players, Captains or Sponsors are not official instructions.
13.4 Unless a Round expressly permits it, outside assistance, automated tools, purchased services and third-party performance are prohibited. Each Round Instruction states what assistance is allowed.
13.5 A Round deadline is measured using the Operator’s system time. The Operator may correct a documented platform outage or system error in a manner that treats similarly affected Players consistently.
14.1 Advancement is based only on the criteria stated in these Official Rules and the applicable Round Instructions.
14.2 A Player may cease to advance for failing an objective Round requirement, missing a deadline, failing required verification, withdrawing, or being disqualified under Section 21.
14.3 Subjective judging, where used, applies written criteria and qualified decision-makers. The Operator retains a reasonable record of material judging decisions.
14.4 Ties affecting advancement or Prize entitlement are resolved by an additional skill-based test, not by chance.
14.5 The Operator’s good-faith application of the disclosed scoring and completion criteria is final, subject to the review process in Section 30 and applicable law.
15.1 The Prize Schedule forms part of these Official Rules. It states the number and approximate retail value of each Prize, any geographic allocation, all material restrictions, and any fact known to the Operator that materially affects the chances of winning.
15.2 No Prize identified only in marketing, a sponsor conversation, an unsigned proposal or an internal document is promised. Only Prizes appearing in the Prize Schedule are offered.
15.3 Prizes are non-transferable and are not redeemable for cash except where the Prize Schedule expressly permits a cash alternative.
15.4 If a Prize becomes unavailable for reasons outside the Operator’s reasonable control, the Operator may substitute a prize of equal or greater approximate retail value, to the extent permitted by law and by the terms stated in the Prize Schedule.
15.5 All Prize claims are subject to final eligibility verification, correct answer to a skill-testing question where required, execution of any required release, tax documentation, and any third-party supplier condition disclosed in the Prize Schedule.
15.6 Prize values stated in these Official Rules and in any Game communication are approximate retail values of the prize awarded. They are not cash payments and are not represented as cash.
16.1 Where THE GAME allows a Player to identify or rank a preferred Prize, that preference is not a guarantee unless the Prize Schedule expressly creates a binding selection right.
16.2 The Operator may require a Player to record a Prize preference before or during THE GAME for administration and sponsor planning. The Player must follow the stated deadline and process.
16.3 A Player who has disclosed a relationship under clause 4.4 may not select or be allocated a Prize supplied by the Sponsor or prize supplier to which that relationship applies.
16.3A The Operator may require recusal, independent review or another reasonable conflict-control measure where a disclosed relationship could affect judging, verification or Prize allocation.
16.4 Where more than one qualifying Player could claim a limited Prize, allocation is determined by the disclosed skill-based ranking, scoring or tie-break procedure identified in the Prize Schedule, Round Schedule or applicable Round Instructions. No limited Prize is allocated by random draw or chance.
18.1 Sponsors are promotional or prize partners. A Sponsor is not the Operator unless the Prize Schedule expressly identifies that Sponsor as directly responsible for a stated obligation.
17.2 A Sponsor cannot modify these Official Rules or promise a different entry price, discount, Game Credit balance, Completion Reward, advancement result or Prize.
17.3 A third-party Prize may be subject to reasonable supplier terms disclosed in the Prize Schedule, including booking windows, availability, age requirements, travel documentation, insurance, credit approval, product availability and other restrictions inherent to that Prize.
17.4 The Operator does not impose undisclosed material restrictions after a Player wins, except where necessary because of events outside reasonable control and permitted by law.
18.1 All prices are in Canadian dollars. Applicable GST will be added to stated prices where required by law.
18.2 Before payment, the checkout conspicuously shows: the amount being charged; the entry route or Milestone payment being purchased; any applicable discount; applicable taxes; any known mandatory additional payments required to continue through the applicable Round; that payment does not guarantee advancement, a Prize or the Completion Reward; the applicable no-refund and cancellation rule; a description of the $300 Game Credit where relevant; and a link to the current Official Rules.
18.3 The payment receipt identifies THE GAME and Sweetspot Marketing Group Ltd., the amount paid, the entry type and any discount used, the transaction date and customer-service contact information.
18.4 The Operator uses a recognizable statement descriptor permitted by its payment processor and by card-network rules.
18.5 The Operator does not split, disguise, miscode or misdescribe Game transactions.
18.6 A discount or Complimentary Entry applies only to the Base Entry Price unless the Operator expressly states otherwise in writing. Any separately required Milestone payment is disclosed as a separate Game cost before it becomes payable.
19.1 No-Refund Policy. Except where a refund, correction or cancellation right is expressly provided in this Section or cannot legally be waived, payments made to participate in THE GAME are final and non-refundable.
19.2 ALL PAYMENTS FINAL — NO REFUNDS.
All registration fees, entry payments, Milestone payments and other amounts paid to participate in THE GAME are final and non-refundable once payment has been made. A Player is not entitled to a refund because the Player changes their mind, decides not to participate, becomes unavailable, withdraws, fails to complete THE GAME, or is otherwise unable or unwilling to continue.
This no-refund policy is subject only to any refund or cancellation right that cannot legally be waived under applicable law.
19.3 Withdrawal or Cancellation by Player.
A Player may choose to stop participating in THE GAME at any time; however, voluntarily withdrawing or cancelling participation does not create any entitlement to a refund or reimbursement of amounts already paid.
19.4 Operator Cancellation.
If the Operator cancels THE GAME or is unable to continue THE GAME before completion of the final Round, the Operator will apply the applicable remedial provisions described in Section 27, subject to any rights or remedies required by applicable law.
19.5 No Refund for Game Outcomes, Withdrawal or Player Conduct.
No refund is owed where a Player’s participation ends, is restricted or is terminated because of:
Where the Operator reasonably determines that a Player’s conduct warrants suspension, removal or disqualification, amounts previously paid remain non-refundable, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
This clause does not limit any right that cannot legally be waived.
19.6 Effect of a Required Refund.
If a payment is refunded where required by law or under an express provision of these Official Rules, the associated entry or payment is treated as cancelled. Any related unused Game Credit, Team qualification, Captain qualification, advancement or other benefit associated with that payment may also be cancelled, to the extent permitted by law.
19.7 Chargebacks and Payment Reversals.
If a Player initiates a chargeback, payment dispute or payment reversal, the Operator may temporarily suspend the entry or associated Player privileges while the matter is investigated. Nothing in these Official Rules prevents a Player from exercising a legitimate statutory or cardholder right.
19.8 Payment Records.
The Operator may retain transaction records, acceptance records, entry type, Invite Code information, payment status, refund status and Game Credit ledger information reasonably necessary to administer THE GAME and respond to payment disputes.
19.9 Duplicate or Incorrect Charges.
A verified duplicate charge or payment collected in error by the Operator will be refunded or corrected. A correction of a duplicate or erroneous charge does not otherwise create a right to a refund of a valid payment.
20.1 Players must act honestly, lawfully, safely and in good faith.
20.2 Grounds for suspension or disqualification include cheating; falsifying evidence; impersonation; collusion intended to defeat a Round; manipulating payments, referrals or Game Credit; unauthorized account access; inappropriate, abusive, threatening, harassing, discriminatory, unsafe, disruptive or seriously disrespectful behaviour; intoxication or impairment that creates a safety or operational risk; property damage; bribery; interference with another Player or Team; breach of confidentiality obligations; conduct that materially harms the integrity, safety or operation of THE GAME; and any other material breach of these Official Rules or applicable Round Instructions.
20.3 Where practical, the Operator investigates and requests information before a final disqualification. Immediate removal is permitted where reasonably necessary for safety, fraud prevention or protection of the integrity of THE GAME.
20.4 A disqualified Player forfeits further participation and any unearned benefit, subject to applicable law.
20.5 The Operator does not confiscate a legally vested Prize or an earned payment by labelling it forfeited where applicable law does not permit that result.
21.1 Players must use their own legal identity and maintain accurate contact information.
21.2 The Operator may require government-issued identification, proof of age or residency, tax information, payment verification, eligibility declarations and reasonable evidence of Round completion.
21.3 Players must protect their account credentials and promptly report suspected unauthorized access.
21.4 The Operator may freeze a Game Account while investigating suspected fraud, duplicate identity, payment reversal or rule manipulation, provided the investigation is conducted reasonably and consistently.
22.1 Screening-related recording rights and consent are governed by the separate Screening Terms and privacy notice.
22.2 Game administration requires the collection and use of identity, contact, eligibility, Team, Prize selection, Game Credit ledger, transaction, Round submission and verification information.
22.3 Retention of Personal Information.
Personal information is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected. General Player information will normally be retained for up to one year after the end of Season One, unless a longer retention period is reasonably required for a dispute, legal obligation or other legitimate business purpose.
Information forming part of the Operator’s financial, accounting, payment or tax records may be retained for the period required by applicable law, including applicable Canada Revenue Agency record-retention requirements. Such records are generally required to be retained for six years from the end of the tax year to which they relate.
22.4 Any filming, publicity release, location tracking or sensitive-data collection during THE GAME that is not already covered by the Screening Terms is supported by separate notice and consent.
22.5 Sponsors receive only the Player information authorized by the privacy notice, the Sponsor agreement and applicable law. A Sponsor’s interest in Prize-selection or redemption status does not authorize disclosure of unrelated personal information.
22.6 Privacy questions or requests concerning personal information may be directed to the Operator at sales@sweetspotmarketinggroup.ca or to another privacy contact designated in the Privacy Notice.
23.1 No Round requires a Player to break the law, trespass, drive dangerously, harass another person, consume controlled substances, damage property, or place themselves or others at unreasonable risk.
23.2 A Player must stop and seek clarification if a Round instruction reasonably appears unsafe or unlawful.
23.3 The Operator may modify or cancel an unsafe component while preserving competitive fairness as far as reasonably possible.
24.1 Players are responsible for obtaining their own tax advice concerning Prizes, the Completion Reward and any other cash or non-cash benefit received through THE GAME.
24.2 The Operator may withhold or report amounts where required by law and may require reasonable tax or identity documentation before paying a cash amount or transferring a Prize.
25.1 The Operator maintains records reasonably necessary to administer THE GAME, including entry route, price paid, complimentary or discount code source, Team composition, Round status, Game Credit activity, Completion Reward eligibility, Prize preference and required approvals.
25.2 A Player may be required to provide supporting evidence reasonably necessary to verify a material claim or Round result.
25.3 Where a system record is demonstrably wrong because of an Operator error, the Operator corrects the record and documents the correction.
26.1 The Operator may make non-material administrative changes that do not unfairly alter a Player’s substantive rights or chances of winning. Players are notified through the Official Game Channels.
26.2 A material change to entry economics, Prize availability, eligibility, advancement criteria, Completion Reward requirements or a Player’s material rights is not imposed retroactively, except where required by law or by unavoidable circumstances.
26.3 If THE GAME is cancelled, suspended or materially disrupted by events beyond the Operator’s reasonable control, the Operator adopts a fair remedial plan, which may include rescheduling, alternative performance, refunds where appropriate, or another lawful remedy.
26.4 If the Operator elects to cancel THE GAME before completion for reasons other than a Player breach and other than events beyond the Operator’s reasonable control, the Operator will provide a fair remedial plan consistent with Section 20.4 and applicable law.
27.1 Participation is voluntary. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Player assumes the ordinary risks inherent in participating in the disclosed Game activities.
27.2 The Operator is not responsible for ordinary internet, device, carrier or third-party platform failures outside its reasonable control, but addresses material Operator-controlled system errors fairly.
27.3 Nothing in these Official Rules excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence and rights that cannot be waived under Alberta consumer-protection law.
28.1 A Player indemnifies the Operator against third-party claims caused by that Player’s unlawful conduct, infringement of a third party’s rights, fraud or material breach of these Official Rules. This clause does not apply to the extent that the claim arises from the Operator’s own act or omission.
29.1 A Player who believes a material scoring, advancement, Game Credit, referral or eligibility record is incorrect should submit a written dispute to sales@sweetspotmarketinggroup.ca within 2 business days of the event in question so that time-sensitive Game issues can be reviewed promptly. A payment dispute should be submitted as soon as reasonably possible. This internal review deadline does not eliminate or shorten any statutory, cardholder or other legal right that cannot lawfully be waived.
29.2 The Operator maintains an internal review process for objectively verifiable errors and responds in writing within 2 business days.
29.3 These Official Rules are governed by the laws of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada applicable in Alberta, subject to any mandatory consumer rights.
30.1 Entire agreement. These Official Rules, the Screening Terms where applicable, the Prize Schedule, the Round Schedule, approved Round Instructions, the Privacy Notice and any specific Prize release constitute the governing framework for participation.
30.2 Severability. If a provision is unenforceable, it is severed or limited to the minimum extent necessary and the remaining provisions continue to apply.
30.3 No waiver. A failure to enforce a provision once is not a permanent waiver.
30.4 Assignment. A Player may not transfer an entry, Game Account, Game Credit, Completion Reward eligibility or Prize claim except where these Official Rules expressly permit it. The Operator may assign the Game business subject to applicable law and protection of Player rights.
30.5 Language. These Official Rules are drafted in English.
